When Teal'c shunned Maybourne, given that he was metamorphosing because of an alien insect venom, and that Maybourne wanted him to be a cobaye, he met Ally, a young girl that was playing in a disused building with her water pistol, like she seems to do the whole summer. As a matter of fact, to thank her for her help, Teal'c gave her a "a new weapon, one with increased range and firepower", and even played with her (astonishing, isn't it?).

Ally's father was a policeman, but he died because of a bullet injury. Her mother works all day so that Ally can have "food to eat and a place to sleep".

She helped Teal'c hiding from Maybourne's men, and phoned O'Neill on his behalf. She did not protest when Daniel refused to tell her what had really been going on: she already had understood that it was all classified, and seemed to find that rather cool.
